 Liana's Art BarnI absolutely believe in the importance of self expression...but I am also a passionate advocate for learned knowledge. Drawing and painting are skills that can be taught. My aim is to show students how to "see" in a new way. Instruction coupled with practice, will bring about an independent and confident artist. This Atelier style of teaching (where students study under an artist in their own private studio) encourages a hands on approach. It encourages the passing on of masterful skills while allowing the student their own space for developing a unique style. |

 Overview My kids art classes are based upon my own studies at the Adelaide Central School of Visual Art. I have adjusted the curriculm for the younger art students but generally I apply the same techniques that have been taught to me... the results have been astounding! Have a look at the Art 4 Kids Gallery for examples of student work. Just a couple things; Please make sure your child brings an apron or art smock and an A3 art folder to keep all their brilliant works protected, oh and a snack 2 hours is a long time without some brain food. |
