Painting and Drawing for Beginners

Dates: Fortnightly Sundays begins April 4, 2025, Hahndorf

Where: Cnr; Main Street and Auricht Road, Hahndorf, plenty of parking available.

Time: 2:00 to 4:30

Cost: $250 for 5 classes

Small size class in a professional Artists studio.

You decide what YOU would like to paint or draw and I help you achieve a great result while teaching you some valuable skills and techniques along the way.

Painters are required to bring their own PAINTING KITS (acrylic paint or oil paint). For those wishing to draw please bring your own materials.

List of Primary Colours needed (with these you can make almost any colour):

• Titanium White

• Carbon Black

• Vermilion ‘Light’ (Warm Red - almost orange)

• Alizarin Crimson (Cool Red)

• Ultramarine Blue (Cool Blue)

• Cerulean Blue or Phthalo Blue (Warm Blue)

• Lemon Yellow (Cool Yellow)

• Cadmium Yellow Deep (Warm Yellow)

List of other items needed:

• Canvas

• Various size brushes

• Mediums and Solvents for Oil Painters (ensure they are odourless)

• Flat Palette

• Palette knife (medium size)

• Paper Towels / Baby Wipes / Glad Wrap (to save paint for another day)

• Apron

• Gesso to prime your canvas before painting
